What Options are there for Pickleball Court Resurfacing & Restoration?

Pickleball creates different wear patterns than tennis due to high traffic in the “kitchen” and frequent player pivots. A simple paint job is not going to be enough. We offer advanced surfacing solutions that fix cracks and improve playability.

Option 1: Sport Court® Modular Tile (Best for Durability)

Ideal for: Cracked concrete, older courts, and noise reduction.

Our SportGame PB™ modular system is the official modular surface of USA Pickleball. It is engineered to overlay existing slabs, bridging cracks so they never return.

- Lateral Forgiveness™: Patented technology that absorbs lateral shock, reducing impact on knees and joints.
- All-Weather Play: Self-draining design allows play to resume minutes after it rains.

Option 2: Cushioned Mat Systems (Best for Comfort)

Ideal for: Players wanting a “club-level” feel with maximum injury protection.

We install Mapei Cushion Systems. These are multi-layer rubberized coatings glued directly to the surface.

- True Bounce: Provides a consistent ball response identical to professional hard courts.

Option 3: Acrylic Resurfacing (Best for Budget)

Ideal for: Courts in good structural condition needing a color refresh. We use premium 100% acrylic coatings to restore traction and aesthetics.

Note: This option is cosmetic. If your court has significant cracking, we recommend Option 1 or 2 to prevent the cracks from reappearing.

This was a beautiful custom home in Castle Rock. We built a custom backyard pickleball court for this lovely couple. The choice of colors is one of our personal favorites! Ball containment fencing was placed on 3-1/2 sides with a nice access way into the court.

3 Custom pickleball courts were the heartbeat of this design for the ProLogic campus in Casper. This area is in a high wind zone, so we had to engineer the fencing to support heavy wind loads on the fence and the windscreens. The 3 pickleball courts have our cushioned acrylic rubber mat system, and were painted with flexible acrylic coatings. The colors were all custom made to match the pantone colors of the ProLogic logo.

Custom shaped backyard pickleball court over an existing concrete pad. We retrofitted this court and transformed it from an old crusty tile court into a cushioned overlay, painted acrylic surface. Q: How much space do I need for a backyard pickleball court?

A: A regulation court is 20′ x 44′, but the recommended minimum footprint including overrun (safety zones) is 30′ x 60′. We can customize dimensions to fit tighter spaces for recreational play.

Q: Can you put a pickleball court over my patio?

A: Yes. Our modular tile systems can be installed directly over an existing patio, provided the surface is relatively flat. This is a fast way to get a court without heavy excavation.

Q: Do you serve the Lake Tahoe and Reno area?
