Commercial Futsal Facility Construction

Futsal is exploding in popularity across the United States, becoming a staple in youth soccer development programs, schools, and municipal parks. For facility managers, Futsal offers a unique opportunity: it fits more players into a smaller footprint than soccer, allowing for higher utilization rates and increased revenue.

Court Builders of the Rockies specializes in building high-traffic commercial futsal courts. Whether you are converting tennis courts into futsal pitches or building a new futsal complex from the ground up, we provide the engineering expertise to ensure your facility lasts for decades.

Built for High-Traffic Public Use

Commercial facilities face challenges that residential courts don’t: vandalism, constant foot traffic, and heavy wear. We engineer our courts to withstand the abuse of public access.

    • Post-Tension Concrete Base: We recommend post-tension concrete for all commercial outdoor courts. This steel-reinforced foundation resists cracking and settling, ensuring a flat, safe playing field that minimizes liability for 20+ years.
    • Commercial-Grade Surfacing: We install heavy-gauge modular tiles that are UV-stabilized and incredibly durable. They can withstand skateboards, bicycles, and non-sport footwear without damage, making them ideal for unsupervised public parks.
    • Vandal-Resistant Goals: We supply heavy-duty steel or aluminum goals that are permanently anchored to the foundation, preventing theft or tipping accidents.

Maximize Your Facility’s Footprint

What is Athletic Surfacing?

One of the biggest advantages of Futsal for schools and parks is density.

    • More Players, Less Space: You can fit four regulation Futsal courts on the footprint of one standard soccer field. This allows 40 players to be active simultaneously, compared to just 22 on a full pitch.
    • Tennis Court Conversions: We can convert a single underutilized tennis court into a high-energy Futsal arena. This is a cost-effective way to revitalize aging parks and attract a younger demographic.

Official Dimensions & Safety Zones

We build to strict FIFA and AMF standards for competitive play.

    • International Standard: 40m x 20m (approx. 131’ x 65’)
    • Non-International Standard: 25m – 42m Length x 16m – 25m Width.
    • Safety Run-Offs: Unlike casual builders, we ensure proper “run-off” zones (typically 2-3 meters) around the touchlines to prevent player collisions with fences or walls, a critical factor for insurance and liability.

Court Builders of the Rockies - Commercial Indoor - City of Clovis - Clovis, CA

Indoor Futsal Court flooring built for City of Clovis in Clovis, CA

The City of Clovis has a recreation center that had only concrete surfaces for the community to play on, for basketball, volleyball, and futsal. The Parks and Recreation team had heard of Court Builders of the Rockies from other work in adjacent Parks and Districts – so they reached out about a low-maintenance, sports performance flooring system. After proposing both sheet vinyl and modular options, they unanimously chose the modular suspended tile system (Response High Gloss Maple Select) with the 4-coat factory applied polyurethane finish (same coating as a wood floor), with a Titanium full colored accent in the border and keys.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the best surface for an outdoor commercial futsal court?

A: For outdoor commercial use, vented modular tiles are the industry standard. They provide superior traction compared to painted concrete (which gets slippery when wet or dusty) and are far more durable than artificial turf, which requires infill top-offs and grooming.

Q: Can we paint futsal lines on a gym floor?

A: Yes. We specialize in indoor gymnasium restriping. We can add Futsal game lines to your existing basketball or volleyball court in a contrasting color, instantly adding a new program to your indoor facility without any construction costs.

Q: How much maintenance does a futsal court require?

A: Our modular futsal courts are virtually maintenance-free. They require no watering, mowing, or painting. A simple monthly blower-clean to remove debris and an annual power wash are usually sufficient to keep the court looking brand new.

Q: Do you install containment fencing?

A: Yes. Futsal is a fast game with frequent shots on goal. We install commercial-grade, vinyl-coated chain link fencing (10’–12’ high) to keep the ball in play and protect spectators or parking lots.

What Our Customers Say About Us:

“When an agent secures a listing on a home with a Game Court in it, I know they will have a much easier time finding a buyer for that house than a similar home with a swimming pool.”

– J.B. Goodwin, CEO/Broker, JBGoodwin Company

“I wanted to let you know how much we love our Game Court. At least one of our three kids uses it every day. I promise I’m not exaggerating – we use it every day.”

– Cindy and Lamar Slay

“The first night the court was completed, our entire family had a blast playing tennis and basketball and we realized how much ‘together time’ we had been missing.”

– Mac Pfeiffer

“My ability to continue to play through the joint pain, after so many years on concrete, was reaching the point of no return. Game Court gave me a second chance; and I am able even now at 65 to play two hours with no problems of any kind.”

– Howard Rubin

“I am writing to tell you how much our Game Court has meant to my family over the 14 years that we have had it. I have two boys, who early on, used the Game Court to learn to ride tricycles and bikes because we live on a steep hill and this provided the only flat surface. They learned to hit the baseball off a tee and to catch. Eventually, they learned to shoot baskets. They each have been excellent three-point shooters attributable solely to many hours they spent on the court.”

– Donde L. Plowman
