Commercial Pickleball Court Construction
The Region’s Expert in High-Performance Pickleball Facilities
The Best In Pickleball Court Construction
Build the amenity everyone is asking for. Pickleball is not just a trend; it is the most requested amenity for HOAs, country clubs, and municipal parks across the country. But building a facility that can handle thousands of hours of play requires more than just painting lines on a parking lot.
Court Builders of the Rockies is the region’s ASBA Builder Member. We design professional-grade commercial pickleball courts engineered for the Rockies and High Plains. From post-tension concrete foundations to acoustically cushioned surfacing, we build facilities that maximize player satisfaction and minimize long-term maintenance.
Maximize Your Space & Revenue
Turn underutilized tennis courts into a thriving pickleball hub. One of the smartest investments a facility can make is Tennis Court Conversion.
-
-
The Math: You can fit four standard pickleball courts on the footprint of a single tennis court.
-
The Result: Quadruple your capacity. Whether you charge court fees or use it as a value-add to retain residents, you are getting 4x the utility from the same square footage.
-

In addition to modular and acrylic, we also install, repair, and maintain hardwood floor, sheet vinyl/synthetic, rubber, poured polyurethane (pad and pour), fitness turf, and sand volleyball.
The "Quiet Court" Solution
Mitigate noise complaints before they happen. Pickleball is louder than tennis. For HOAs and apartment complexes, this is a major concern. We offer specialized Acoustical Mitigation Systems designed to keep neighbors happy:
-
- Cushioned Surfacing: We install premium acrylic systems with rubberized sub-layers (like ProCushion™) or specialized modular tiles that dampen the sound of the ball impact.
- Acoustical Fencing: We can integrate sound-absorbing fence screens (Acoustifence®) that block and diffuse noise, reducing decibel levels significantly for nearby properties.
Engineered for Commercial Durability
Public and club courts face heavy traffic and harsh weather. We use a two-step system to ensure longevity:
1. The Foundation: Post-Tension Concrete
Standard asphalt cracks. In our freeze-thaw climate, that is a guarantee. We specialize in Post-Tension Concrete—a structural slab reinforced with high-strength steel cables. This creates a "monolithic" floating base that bridges unstable soils and resists cracking for decades, ensuring a true ball bounce year after year.
2. The Surface: Professional Grade
Directly over the concrete, we install your choice of surface:
-
-
Laykold® / Plexipave® Acrylics: The official surfaces of the US Open. These provide a textured, non-slip finish with vibrant, fade-resistant colors.
-
Modular Sport Tiles: Ideal for roof-tops or overlaying cracked concrete. These offer vertical shock absorption to protect players' joints and allow for instant drainage after rain.
-
Solutions for Every Facility
We provide turnkey design-build services for:
-
HOAs & Community Centers: Revitalize aging amenities and increase property values.
-
Country Clubs: Create a "social sports" center with lounge seating and lighting.
-
Parks & Recreation: Durable, vandal-resistant public courts built for high volume.
-
Hotels & Resorts: A low-maintenance amenity that guests love.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How many pickleball courts can we fit in our space?
A: A standard pickleball court is 20’ x 44’, but the recommended total playing area is 30’ x 60’ per court to allow for safety zones. We can help you design a layout that maximizes density without sacrificing safety.
Q: Can you just paint pickleball lines on our existing tennis courts?
A: Yes. This is called "blended lines." It’s a cost-effective way to add pickleball without losing tennis. However, for high-traffic facilities, we recommend dedicated permanent nets to avoid the hassle of setting up portable nets daily.
Q: What about lighting?
A: We install specialized LED Court Lighting that directs light downward onto the court, minimizing "light spill" into neighboring windows—critical for residential areas.
